Care In The Garden Is Back!

Welcome To The New And Improved Care In The Garden Blog Page!

Welcome to our exclusive Care In The Garden blog page where you'll find sale and product information, catch early deals and new stock and gain a fascinating insight to the inner workings of the Isle of Wight's leading community plant nursery!

Care in the Garden is a Community Interest Company (CIC) in Wootton - a non-profit organisation set up to make a difference by creating work opportunities for adults with additional needs on the Isle of Wight.

We are funded by what we grow and sell: every penny spent with us helps to provide meaningful work opportunities and a supportive environment for adults with additional needs to thrive in.

Work Buddy Scheme

We believe that it is a fundamental human right for everyone to have the opportunity to lead a full and meaningful life. Here at Care in the Garden we aim to prove that everyone has a right to

a place in the working world, even though they may need support to achieve it. We focus and develop on a person's abilities, not their disabilities.

We currently provide supported work placements for those who need a little help in the fields of horticulture, woodwork, retail, painting, artwork, floristry and crafts. This may involve working on site at the nursery, out in the community, or at one of our partner organisations such as the Garlic Farm.

That's Not All!

Not only do we grow a wide range of beautiful plants here and sell them to you at AMAZING prices, but we have a diverse range of other services to offer.

We also have a growing woodwork team here at Palmers Brook, guided by our hard-working carpenter, Paul, and supported by our diligent work buddies. Here we produce a wide variety of garden based woodwork, from planters, birdhouses and decorations to arches, gates and benches.

Where The Magic Happens

We have a small but incredible art team here at Care In The Garden who lovingly bring to life awe-inspiring artwork and decorations for you at great prices. They create and paint anything from signs, pots, troughs, decorations, our beautiful range of artistic birdhouses and much more!

There's a lot to take in here, so take your time and maybe visit Grampy's Tea Shed for a nice chat and some tea, coffee, soft drinks, or our mouth-watering cakes! You can enjoy a delicious, top quality pastry from Scarrots Lane Bakery and a refreshing cup of Lavazza coffee for just £3, so what are you waiting for?

Opening Hours

We are open all days of the week so come on down! Our opening times are as follows:

Monday - Saturday 9am - 5pm.
