Nursery closed until end of January due to Covid-19

Covid-19 Update January 2021

As a Community Interest Company, Care In The Garden has always endeavoured to put community at the forefront of everything we do and this has dictated our response to the issues we are dealing with regard to Covid-19.

The virus situation we are faced with on the Island, is evolving rapidly and we are sure that you will agree that we simply don't have the measure of the virus at this time. To date, we have not had any cases amongst our staff, volunteers or supported workers, but with the virus spreading rapidly on the Island, we feel it would be inevitable that someone would catch it and possibly pass it on. We would be devastated if this happened to any of our staff, volunteers, supported workers, or customers, many of whom are in the vulnerable or high-risk categories. Although Government Tier 4 rules allow us to open the nursery, we feel that the increased risk to everyone concerned outweighs our right to be open, so we have taken the decision not to do so, at least until the end of January.

We appreciate your continued support in purchasing plants and other items from us and we will be opening our web shop again from Friday 8th January for Island deliveries only.

We will continue to monitor the situation and we will let you know when we feel it is safe for everyone to return to the nursery again. Please keep yourselves safe, there is light at the end of the tunnel, we ALL just need to get there.

John, Gill and the Care In The Garden team.

This is our latest venture. Created fresh every Thursday, the selection of flower arrangements changes frequently, so pop in and see what we have available.

A great team who love to get out and about to tend your lawns.  They have been trained to use the mowers and strimmer's, with assistance, and take great pride in doing a good job.
