Today's plant of the day is Penstemon!

Upright, clump forming herbaceous perennial plants that come back year after year. They become smothered in attractive, densely packed spikes covered in masses of elegant, tubular pink or purple flowers.

A real statement in the border as well as large patio containers due to their bold colours and great height. Water well and deadhead regularly, shortening flower stems by half to encourage further flowering.
