Today's plant of the day is Ophiopogon!
Extraordinary clump forming grass of vibrant purple-black foliage, followed by pearls of black-purple fruits in the autumn. The eye-catching dark foliage can be a perfect contrast with brighter pops of colour in mixed plantings.
These hardy perennials love a nice sunny position in containers or the garden border. They produce flowers from May to June time and grow to be a nice 20cm in height. Plant in moist fertile soil and water well.
