Today's plant of the day is Alstroemeria!
This naturally compact perennial is easy to grow and has strong garden vigour. Free-flowing plants produce fresh, bright coloured flowers above green foliage. These make a great focal point for your garden and suit containers very well too.
Flowering lasts from June all the way through to September. For best results plant in moist fertile soil and water well. It is very important these do not dry out whilst establishing. Make sure to remove dead stems regularly at the base.
